Appearance:

When it comes to describing Zat he is a older man. However he doesn’t look like his age. His age is fifty but his look makes him appear thirty. This reasoning is because of the fact his spiritual energy being so rich and plentiful. He does show hints of age through streaks of white sitting in his hair here and there. He stands at about seven foot one in terms of height. Taller than most but it runs in his family. As his father stood at a good seven foot 5 and his mother six feet tall. He weighs about 230 pounds of lean muscle that was obtained over the years. Age is nothing but a mere number to him as he relishes in looking young. His facial features resemble that of his younger age but a bit of scruff on the bottom of his chin. It throws off the baby face he retained through the years. Besides the few white streaks in his hair he has a dark color hair that is always kept a short length. Never enough to cover his face but enough to cover his hairline and forehead. His eyes are that of a black color but often one can see the passion of battle pass through his gaze. Crows feet pull at the sides of his eyes to indicate he is a older gentleman.

Not that he couldn’t get rid of them, but he let them add to his age. The clothes that cover his slender toned body is that of a suave gentleman. He tends to wear suits a lot of the time. He knows of his status and likes to look clean. It’s one of his policies as King of the Quincies. In other words something his father told him. ‘Ya look good, ya feel good.’ No matter what he tries to keep a clean appearance even in combat. His favorite suit color was a dark navy blue suit that sometimes look black. Depending on how the light hits it can be one of the two colors. Its a special suit tailored to his body and meant only for him. He doesn’t care to wear a tie as he shows off his pectorals to the world. His jacket is usually open from the midsection up. When you are in a position of power you can do what you want as long its just. The collar of the suit is a bleach white color that offsets the dark color of the rest of the suit. He wears black loafers that are shined to reflect the sun off of them. Around his neck he wears a silver cross that is one of his weapons that he carries around. It rests on a silver band around his neck. Majority of the time he wears his sunglasses that shade his eyes from the shine of justice. The world that is filled with darkness, his light shines too bright even for himself sometimes.

Personality:

Zat is a bundle of emotions that would take forever to explain. He isn’t one to sugar coat things because of his rough upbringing. As one is not promised tomorrow, so why not give someone the full story? At the same time he isn’t a debbie downer, he can be a bundle of joy and happiness that lightens up everyone’s day. At times he has to catch himself from spouting off vulgarities. As a leader he must lead by example, and sometimes he will make a bad one. In the face of duty he takes his job very seriously too despite always trying to make light of things. In the face of combat he takes a comedic stance when doing it. One must enjoy the job they do, and he loves killing bad things. Of course anyone who goes against his rule would be one of those bad things. Living in a world of chaos he plays as a holy emissary. One who brings the gospel of the great above through his fury. Zat knows what he does isn’t nice but as long as it feels right in ones soul who cares? At some point destiny will come a knocking. And when it does Zat will square off with it as he has done before.

He is a strong believer of making your own path. He is living walking proof that anything is possible through perseverance. Not only is Zat a great king but he is a great teacher. He has no problem taking wayward souls and placing them under his care. Soul Reapers, Arrancars, Quincy, Fullbringers, Humans whatever. He believes that the strong will survive the weak, and the more strong on his side he will be the one at the end of the times who stands victorious. This doesn’t mean he is one of the goody goody guys, he has shown his darker side several times. The Pain was given to him a long time ago. A name that has stuck with him. He accepts it as his title because of the pain and anguish he sustained through the years of battle. He inflicts this pain on his enemies. A full fledged divine fury that made him who he is today. If he can’t see a light within a soul he won’t hesitate to cleanse the universe of its existence. Anyone deemed a threat will be taken out without a moments hesitation. He is one person who you do not want to be on the bad side of. He tends to not hold back in the face of danger. At the end of the day Zat is a down to earth guy who isn’t arrogant in any way. He is confident of his strength and will occasionally strut too make sure people are aware of his strength. In his beliefs the world was created in the likeness of the one above. He has long since forgiven shinigami for their sins but he has not forgotten their treachery. Unless they show otherwise they are enemies too the Quincy. He is not above waging all out war on those who stand against him. Unlike his past king he will unite the Quincy against any threat foreign or domestic.

He seems to have a infinite amount of wisdom and a great intelligence. He is a man of many words but knows when not to speak. Fear no longer resides in him because that time had long since passed where fear ruled his life. He isn’t afraid to die nor is he afraid to break someone’s spirit. He can best rebuild someone whose glass is empty.

Once Upon A Time

History:

As the pages of history turn sometimes we must draw attention to those who stand out. The ones who strive to leave their mark on the pages. The book turns to that of Zat Adalric. A young lad who was born into a world frothing at the mouth with chaos. On the surface it looked like a calm world for a human too live in. For spiritual humans danger existed at every turn. There are several worlds that pertain to this universe. However taught too the quincy young there was only three established. Paradiso, Purgatorio, and Inferno. In other words this was Heaven, Earth and Hell. These are the three places that govern this universe. The Soul Society existed within Purgatorio and Hueceo Mondo danced close to that of Inferno. Of course this was the teachings passed down within the Adalric family. A family of Quincies who was among of the few surviving members. Zat was a young lad full of life and ready to tackle whatever the world threw at him. His family stayed in the west for a long period of time.

Like any good quincy warrior his father and mother spent their off time defending their town from hollows and renegade shinigami. His parents were of royal blood, they were the rightful rulers of the throne. The palace of the Quincies when they ruled was established in the west thus why a lot of the newer breed of hunters wore western style garments over their shinigami counterparts. Of course this was after the first Quincy Extermination, they had to rebuild and gather their strength once more. It wasn’t long before they amassed a army in the west strong enough to stand up to any threat. Zat was raised by the village per say, in other words everyone around him took care of him. As The Prince they treated him as family. Not because of fear of what could happen but fear they would lose something very dear. A family had help build a foundation for the new organization that governed over the Quincy. Of course there was jealousy and hatred it was natural. Haters existed in everything that was good. Some people just want to see it all fall because they aren’t the ones in power. It was only natural that a great light would cast a great shadow. Over the years a rebellion grew right under their noses, they were blind to it. Zat of course was innocent to the world outside of the main base. Through the years he would train to become the next in line for the throne. He trained with various high ranking Quincies. Ones who loved him for the ball of joy he was.

A turning point in his life was also when it all fell apart in an instant. The rebellion came and traitorous dogs came for their lives. Zat’s parents and his loyal subjects defended against the rebellion with all of their might. It was no joy to them too kill his subjects but it had to be done. Zat’s parents sent him away after the first wave of foes, with someone who was skilled in all forms of Quincy combat. Zat’s parents made their final stand as their friends died around them one by one. Sure they were strong but through sheer numbers they were overwhelmed. With one last act of love they used the last of their spiritual power to nuke the very building they raised their son in. They rather die than let it become some twisted vision of justice as what has happened once before.

Zat was taken to the east where japan was supposed to be a magnet for all kinds of spiritual energies. No one knew why, but the universe dictated it so. Zat was well aware what had happened as he felt the souls of his parents leave this word into the next. Over the next few years he would spend the time to get stronger, too become the next Emperor. Of course it wasn’t soon before the spire of dark justice was erected in Japan. Convenient right? Come to find out these people were apart of that same rebellion and at that moment a goal had appeared. He trained hard for years on end. Killing hollows, arrancars and even fighting shinigami. One shinigami in particular who is now a captain. The dispute was started when one of the captains shinigami was caught out in the open by Zat. He tried to take Zat down because he felt what Zat was doing was wrong. Zat didn’t hold back and he ended up losing a arm. His captain saw fit to avenge this subordinate. Except Zat was the victor of this fight and gave the Captain a nasty scar across his face. Said captain resides over the medical division.

At that moment he did that his confidence in his ability skyrocketed. Zat’s potential exceeded that of his masters expectations. It was at the age of thirty when Zat and his teacher went to the tower of the Quincy too take it over. Zat had no qualms with putting down anyone who stood in his way. Mowing down his brethren with The Punisher. His teacher was felled in combat causing a mix of emotions. A fit of rage, pain, and anguish. This wouldn’t stop him, it would fuel him to be greater. This Pain became something he held closely as it drove him to fight this war. He even used underhanded tactics like luring a hoard of hollows and Meno’s Grande to fight for him. By using wounded Quinces he was able to even up this war. After about five years of hit and run tactics he was tired of it and openly challenged the leader. Zat was ready to take the throne.

Of course the leader was tired of losing men too one man. It was disgraceful he was just one man. Zat challenged this man and came out on top. Bloodied and bruised he assumed command of this chapter of Quincies. Warriors bow down to strength, and when he exhibited his it was easy to side with Zat. He wasn’t one to sit there and spout out about other races. Instead he followed the teachings of his parents and welcomed any strange race that had a heart and wanted to live under his rule. Of course Zat sees fit to crush any who rise against him. Unlike his parents he won’t let a rebellion happen again.
