Appearance:
Shiba is a relatively short young boy. Standing at 5' 5" he tends to be smaller and younger than a lot of his comrades. Last time he checked he weighed around 145lbs. He has long hair that covers his eyes, ears and the back of his neck. He has grey eyes that many barely see under his hair. Most of the time he can be seen wearing head phones on his head. He also tends wear a his school uniform jacket. The jacket is blue and has what looks to be stitch work all across it. The sleeves are rolled up revealing Shiba's arms whenever he is in the middle of research. He also wears a bead necklace as accessories. His necklace also seems to have what looks like the teeth of an animal in the them. While Shiba couldn't tell you what they were exactly they look to be from a bear.
When Shiba is on his personal time he tends to wear a T-shirt. Usually it is covered with some sort of graphic design or may be some sort of advertisement for a nearby business/band. Most times it is just a blank T-Shirt. Under it he wears a pair of blue jeans due to his skinny body type they tend to be skinny jeans though to the naked eye he seems to be wearing normal fit. On his feet he can be seen wearing not just regular sneakers but the latest pair on the market... from three years ago. His headphones are still ever present on his head and the cord for the headphones reach all the way down to his front pocket.
When Shiba is entering any formal event he tends to try and look more mature than he usually does. He commits himself to the formal wear and will wear a charcoal black suit with matching black dress shoes. His accessories include a pair of black shades that sits comfortably on his face and a silver watch that is always sliding up and down Shiba's wrist.
Personality:
Shiba is your average teen at the first look. He is constantly on his phone, flirting with girls, or spitting out some sort of smart Alec comment. He tends to sleep when he should be working, working when he is sleeping, and any time in between he seems to be eating. When most look at him they see him as a lazy teenager with more hormones and mood swings than brains. Its always surprising when they realize how wrong they are.
Shiba isn't just smart, he is the smartest people in his school. He is constantly able to top the exam listing without even the smallest amount of studying on those rudimentary subjects. While most would expect that he would be the withdrawn and reserved nerd that would hide behind his books rather than talking to people, he is relatively outgoing.
Though nobody is perfect. While Shiba is friendly with a lot of people he tends not to open up himself with many. He instead prefers to keep others away by refusing to hang out with certain people after school too much or choosing not to go to clubs that the student or friend is attending. This may be due to Shiba being afraid of what will happen should his powers run amok, but he still does things like this.
When he isn't in public his friendly facade fades revealing a mostly neutral face that is only interested in his experiments. Not only that when he is personally interested in the outcome of an experiment he will develop tunnel vision. Shiba is a curious sort, though he is able to suppress it in public when he is in his privacy he will poke and pry until he knows everything about a certain subject whether they be public or personal matters. This goes as far as annoying his colleagues and more times than not he gets kicked out of the base due to his endless prying.

History:

Shiba was born to a single parent household. It was just his mother, his older brother, and him. They lived in a shabby apartment with nothing more than two bedrooms and a kitchen. Needless to say it wasn't long before Shiba's older brother moved out of the house. From a young age Shiba always felt he was different, things always seemed to come easy to him even at a young age. It only took him a year before he began to talk. Not only that he could see things. Not just anything but things no one else could see. In the morning he would wake to see people flying through the air and at night he would see these people get eaten by black formless creatures. Needless to say Shiba spent most of his childhood under his bed.
He tried to go tell people what he saw, but most people seemed to ignore what he had to say. They usually chalked it up to a child's imagination. He would get curious stares from classmates or be called out right weird by peers. It didn't take him long to figure out that if he kept talking they would call him crazy. So he kept his mouth shut. Every night he would lay in his bed, terrified, with tears rolling down his eyes. Not of monsters that most children believed lived in the closet but of the monsters that were outside his window, feasting on the souls of man.
Shiba thought he would be next. Why wouldn't he do so? He could hear and see every small detail that was happening around him. Yet the black masked monsters never came and attacked him. Rather it was like they couldn't come in, something had to be preventing them. Wondering what was going on, Shiba thought he would investigate. Though this investigation was nothing more than a child going up to a window and taking a peek, for Shiba this was a big step. Peering through the gateway that would change the young Shiba's life forever, he saw a familiar figure standing over the shapeless creature. In the cold and snow that looked back at the house and walked away, Shiba saw his older brother standing over the creature with a long claymore in his hand.
His older brother wasn't around much so he had no idea that Shiba saw what happened but the next time they met, Shiba was sure to tell his brother of what he saw. At first his brother seemed shocked, so Shiba flinched expecting his brother would call him crazy. Instead he felt a warm hand pat him on the forehead. Opening his eyes Shiba saw his brother's smile and listened as his brother began explaining. Shiba's brother was always the 'hero of justice' type. He felt that he couldn't leave anyone alone so seeing his little brother suffer he decided to put Shiba's worries to rest. His brother explained that he was a full bringer and that he spent many nights protecting himself and Shiba from the formless creatures (now known as Hollows). He also explained that he awakened his powers at a young age and was recruited into an organization called Xcution whom were taking care of him currently.
At first he was keeping it a secret. Now that he knew that Shiba could see the Hollows as well he brought Shiba to Xcution. Shiba's brother had a feeling that Shiba would become a fullbringer just like his older brother mainly due to the fact that they were related. It was unfortunate that one of the Xcution members had to tell him that it didn't work that way. Either way Shiba found himself attached to the hip to his older brother watching everything he did when he went hunting for hollows.
During their hunts Shiba's brother not only taught shiba how to suppress his reitsu he also stressed the importance of information. So much so that he felt the only way to win a battle with a hollow was to know more than it. So he forced Shiba to do a lot of studying at a young age in order to "train your full bringing." Turns out Shiba was so good at the studying, once Shiba got older he provided support to his brother on his mission. Even though he was a normal human, even those at Xcution had begun to recognize Shiba's knowledge and strategies when it came down to hunting hollows in the area, even though he was human. Using a microphone Shiba would communicate to his brother where to go and where his opponents weak points were. By doing this Shiba's brother became one of the top operatives in Xcution.
Of course all good things must come to an end sometime right? It all began with Shiba's fullbring awakening. His discovery of his abilities came during the time he and his brother were in the midst of battle with an hollow. This hollow was much stronger than any other Shiba and his brother had encountered. Buildings couldn't stand up to the power the hollow possessed and Shiba's brother was close to death during the battle.
Many who knew the story would say that Shiba's fullbring awaking saved his brother's life. When it awoke an explosion of energy was released from his body engulfing him, his brother, and the hollow. Standing there was Shiba and his brother whom lost consciousness and was unconscious. The hollow had disappeared. Afterwards Shiba and his still not conscious brother was brought back before Xcution. Turns out the battle left Shiba's brother into a comatose state. There he was inducted into Xcution. A month after his induction he began to shut himself into the lab. His brother had yet to awaken and Shiba had begun to worry. He suspected it had something to do with his fullbring, so he had begun research on his own fullbring, hollows, and anything he could to figure out how to make his brother regain consciousness.
